I vaguely remember setting this up to send the right email addresses in the
emails from Mailman. I'm sure it was to do with templates.
I'll try and point Peter (Griffin) in the right direction if I can remember
how to do it.
I can also see where all the odd names are coming from.
Originally the mailing list was managed by Majordomo software and I built
the test system on a server called ns2.hursley.ibm.com. This became
ns.hursley.ibm.com when it went into production, replacing the earlier
system of the same name.
Next problem came when our inbound mail feed from the internet was stopped.
Mail now travels to an IBM internal mail gateway which knows to send it
through an internal firewall to NS.hursley.ibm.com. Just to make matters
worse they also stopped out web access so all the URLs in the emails are a
waste of space too.
