Despite the availability of the NS/2 Java bridge that has been put onto various
distribution sites, I believe IBM has no official Java 1.1 solution for NS/2. I have also
seen IBM information which discourages using the "leaked" update packages.
Not knowing that at the time I installed the update for NS/2 and can tell you it is a mixed
blessing - the Scribble page at http://www2.hursley.ibm.com/netrexx/scribble.htm will
cause my NS/2 session to lock up my system and requires a reboot to unjam it. As an
aside, the JDK1.1 patch link on that page does not include a patch for OS/2. Your
milage, as seems to be the lingering case with OS/2, may vary.
