Well this has lead me all the way to Spherical transverse Mercator
projections. Back to OpenDX and things long gone by. The original logo
seems to express that somehow. Crowns are just simpler.

I started a discussion about an official icon for NetRexx files in
August of last year because I was searching for something relatively
small (16x16) for use by my Eclipse plugin.
I had an email discussion about it with Graham Wilson who designed the
logo set for OORexx. He did a rather a nice job with that, I think, but
we never completed the work for NetRexx. Finally I hacked together a
simple ".nrx" thing using an online tool.
If you come up with something which would be appropriate as a file icon,
I'd certainly be interested in using it.
